Waiting List Requirements
Application Process:
- Complete our comprehensive puppy application form
- Submit a non-refundable $200 non-refundable waiting list fee to secure your spot
Gender Flexibility Policy: All families must be flexible regarding gender - we require everyone to be open to either male or female puppies. This policy helps us ensure every puppy finds their loving home and allows us to focus on what truly matters: finding you a puppy whose individual personality will be the perfect match for your family.

The non-refundable waiting list fee demonstrates your serious commitment to adding a puppy to your family and helps us maintain our waiting list with genuinely interested families. This ensures we can dedicate our time and resources to families who are truly ready for their new companion.
Our gender flexibility requirement allows us to make the best personality-based matches between our puppies and families, leading to happier, more successful placements for everyone involved.
Complete Payment Structure
Example: Total Puppy Price $1,375
Step 1: Waiting List Non-Refundable Deposit & Form
- Amount: $200 (non-refundable)
- When: Upon completion of the waiting list form
Step 2: Puppy Selection Non-Refundable Deposit & Form
- Amount: $300 (non-refundable)
- When: When you select your specific puppy from available litter and completion of the non-refundable deposit form
Step 3: Final Payment
- Amount: $875
- When: At time of puppy pickup
Putting Your Name Down
An application must be filled out and approved by ZimmDoodles before putting your name down on a future litter. We have a limited number of spots open on each litter. As breeders we reserve the right of first choice to pick a puppy from that litter if we choose.
Miniatures: Tend to have a max of 6 puppies in a litter
Toys: Tend to have a max of 4 puppies in a litter
Putting Your Name Down on the Waiting List
Requirements:
- Must be open to welcoming either a male or female puppy, any colour, and any size within your chosen litter category
- Complete and submit our puppy application
- Sign the waiting list form
- $200 non-refundable to be placed on the waiting list
How We Communicate:
- While we'll use your preferred contact method for most correspondence, waiting list updates and exclusive puppy announcements are sent via email for efficiency
- Please ensure we have your current email address
Our Communication Timeline:
- We email everyone on our waiting list twice before puppies arrive:
- When our female goes into heat
- Once we have confirmation that our female has been bred and is pregnant
- Once puppies are born, we'll post the announcement on our Facebook page
- We'll then email each family individually to choose their puppy in waiting list order
- Families will have 6 hours to respond, submit the signed deposit form, pay the $300 deposit to hold their puppy, and provide the chosen puppy's name that ZimmDoodles is using before we move to the next family on the list

Choosing Your Puppy
ZimmDoodles isn't choosing a puppy
We might not always decide to choose a puppy from a litter, in that case a spot has opened up for someone to put their name down. When the puppies are 3 weeks old, ZimmDoodles will start to contact everyone on the list in order. You will have 6hrs (3pm-9pm) to respond, submit the signed deposit form, pay the $300 non-refundable deposit, and provide the chosen puppy's name that ZimmDoodles is using.
ZimmDoodles is choosing a puppy
We will announce when we have decided that we are choosing a puppy from a litter. Once we have decided on the gender we are choosing, ZimmDoodles does not pick their puppy until he/she are 5 weeks old, though we may choose sooner.
Once ZimmDoodles has chosen their puppy, we will go down the waiting list in order for families to pick out their puppy from the remaining available puppies (both male and female). Selection begins at 3 weeks old for the available puppies. You will have 6hrs (3pm-9pm) to respond, submit the signed deposit form, pay the $300 non-refundable deposit, and provide the chosen puppy's name that ZimmDoodles is using.
Remember: All families on our waiting list have agreed to be open to either male or female puppies, so you'll be choosing from all available puppies regardless of gender.
